Went to the Mundelein Spray Park today (our old stomping ground), and I was surprised that the kids enjoyed playing in the huge sandbox better than playing with the water. Oh well, we had a good time anyway. They got a little wet at the beginning of our stay...
and then played in the sand box for the rest of the time. The humidity was very high, but didn't bother them at all.
My lil girl's hair got really curly....
and my lil boy is a thrower!!!

Great America
We decided that this year we would get season passes to Great America... with it being only 10 minutes away and all. Well...I did it! Today, I took both kids, by myself, to Great America for 3 hours. I had no problems with them whatsoever. We rode way more rides than I thought we would, and the kids even had a chance to ride some of the kiddie rides without mom! The only problem I had was getting my little girl out of the park... she doesn't quite get that we can come back whenever we want!
Anyway, since I was an active participant today, I didn't get many pictures, but I think the kids are looking forward to going next week with their aunt Therese!

PJ Day
Well... Tuesday we had to sit in the house all day while the garage door guy came and worked on our garage day. Yuck... plus, it was raining. So... we decided it would be a PJ day. We didn't do much...rocking horse rides, tons of books, to much TV, some basement play (which we don't do much), trampeline jumping, dollhouse playing, and marching in a parade! It was a long day, but we got through it... hopefully there won't be many more of those this summer.

Kohl Children's Museum
Thanks to a great tip from a friend, we headed to the children's museum today. It was absolutely fabulous! We spend over 3 hours there, and neither kids complained about being hungry, or tired, or anything else and I had no problem managing them both by myself! There weren't many people there! I guess some of the schools around may still be in session, and summer camps haven't really gotten established yet enough for them to take field trips, so we shared the whole place with about 20 other families. For once, I walked out of there without a headache!
We started at the vet area... both my kids are animal lovers, and they really showed their affection for animals with how kids they were (for their age of course) with the stuff animals provided.
Then we headed to Potbelly's, where my lil girl made me a sandwich and a milkshake.
Aren't they cute!
Next stop, Dominicks, where both kids did some great shopping!
Off to the car area, where my boy was in heaven!

I finally got talked into going to waterworks.... since there weren't many kids there, we didn't get that wet!
Building a house...
Face painting...
My weight...
Outside for some fun!
